Motherhood is a job with no quitting time. Even
when you fall into bed at night, you can still be
called into action at 2:00 am. A schedule like
this needs the healthy balance of some time
out.
A time-out needs to be more than just five
minutes alone with the bathroom door closed.
It should be a full morning, afternoon, or even
twenty-four hours of doing something you truly
enjoy. Scrapbook, Paint, have a slumber party
with a friend. Take a sack lunch and a good
book to the park - without visiting the playground.
Relax, journal, nap. Both you and your children
will be glad you did.
