Estimate

I have seriously learned my lesson when it comes
to auto estimating. I took my car in for an estimate
it was reasonable until they were done and the car
was put together and I went to pay the bill. Hello
it was like $500 dollars over the estimate. I knew
it would be give or take a little but not take a lot.
How can they do that?
